Learn to Ride at Sunnybrook Stables
At Sunnybrook Stables, we specialize in taking insecure, unbalanced and sometimes nervous students and safely turning them into elegant accomplished riders.
We offer a variety of programs including lessons, adult and child introductory courses, a leasing programs for our more advanced riders, summer, march break and winter camps, jumping and dressage clinics, as well as schooling shows throughout the year.
Students must be a minimum of nine years of age in order to participate in riding lessons at Sunnybrook Stables. In order to be able to ride in group lessons, students must demonstrate their ability to safely and competently perform the following tasks:
• groom, saddle and bridle a horse under minimal supervision
• walk, trot (sitting and rising), canter and maintain a two-point position over a low crossrail
Students who are unable to meet this criteria will have to commence lessons in either one of our Introductory Level Courses or enrol in semi-private or private lessons until they are assessed ready for group lessons.
